This weekend I escaped the city to the green mountains of Vermont. Although long, the 6 hour drive north from the city is rather cleansing. As the traffic fades away and enormous mountains start to rise up out of the landscape it’s almost as if you can feel a weight lift off your shoulders.

It rained most of the weekend, but we were still able to find a few hours of nice weather for a hike (pictures below) and overall it was a very enjoyable retreat. Another reminder that you can’t always control what happens to you, but you can always control how you react.
