I write as I’m sitting in the San Francisco airport, getting ready to board a flight home after a nice long weekend with friends.
One of the highlights of the weeknd was visiting Muir Woods this afternoon and walking among the giant red wood trees.
The trees radiated a soothing energy. It felt as if I entered the forest carrying a bucket brimming with worldly concerns, and as I walked amongst the trees – they took me in and shared my troubles. But where I had just a bucket to carry my worries, the trees had a vast chasm – and between us my troubles were gone.
Happy Memorial Day.
